Hiya,
This is 30 year old me Emma, just winging life with 4 children down in a little city called Plymouth in Devon. Yes with 4 kids my life is completely crazy and the house is noisy with lots of love, laughter and the occasional fight (well daily fights). And although some days I could do with 2 paracetamol and glass of wine to get me through the day I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Where I Started...
My initial passion for baking and making was probably from my Granma, who was a passionate baker herself and would teach all of her granchildren how to make simple things like jam tarts and simply pies and pastries.
I started making cakes about 10 years ago, my first ever cake was for my eldest son’s christening and although I don’t have any pictures of it, let me tell you, I’ve come a long way since then! Since then I have been a home baker, making cakes to order in between childcare, I’ve worked as a patisserie chef in an up market hotel and I’ve worked in a commercial bakery which made cakes and so many sweet things!
I’ve made so many mistakes in my baking journey, but luckily I’ve learnt from them all. One thing if your starting out I would highly recommend is that you read my guide on how to price a cake.
It’s got some super useful tips for beginners or experienced bakers and a free spreadsheet on how to price your bakes, with 3 different sheets for materials, consumables and labour! Definetely worth a read, especially if your just starting out.
What came next...
For 10 years baking has been a passion really and whilst I absolutely love it, I also love designing and have decided I needed a change.
I’ve decided to use my experience as a baker to make the products that Baker’s absolutely need and want for their clients.
I’ve racked my brain and come up with a huge range of designs that I know you and your clients will love. My first love is our baking embossers which give fantastic detail to cookies, cupackes and cakesicles.
We’ve also created a range of matching biscuit cutters which allow you to make super intricate biscuits with ease.
Since I first started I’ve also added products which I think you will love such as colour mill food colouring, which gives fantastic colours to all your baking designs, a huge range of cakesicle sticks and cake charms, a wonderful selection of baking moulds and the superb selection of happy sprinkles.
I hope my love for cakes and design will really make your products that extra special.
